His Heart Was Too Big For Him To Live. Literally. Or How About: He Died Of A Broken Heart

Courtesy of SondraK, I would have fallen down laughing if I wasn't already sitting. This is a real obituary, with the punchline:

Alas the stolen election of 2000 and living with right-winged Americans finally brought him to his early demise. Stress from living in this unjust country brought about several heart attacks rendering him disabled.
I'm laughing with Corwyn (Cory) William Zimbleman, not at him. Oh, he's not laughing? Well, that's uncomfortable.....

Emerson,

MikalM here again.

Let's see if I can read between the lines on this one:

This was a middle-aged guy who had spent his life pursuing various eccentric hobbies, and was resentful that he hadn't gotten the "recognition" he so obviously "deserved" from the world at large for these unique and wide-ranging accomplishments. Add the fact he was a militant atheist (your garden-variety nonbeliever wouldn't have put as much effort into studying scriptures as he is reported to have done). Then round it off with the image of him as a cranky leftist who probably convinced himself he was living in full-on Third Reich conditions down there in sunny Tucson.

(And take a look at that scowling portrait. He has the just-smelled-an-SBD sneer of perpetual indignance that I associate with Baby-Boomer "creative" types whose immense senses of personal entitlement have never let them forget *The Greening of America* didn't quite come off as promised...)

All this adds up to portray someone who was probably boiling over with suppressed rage -- against his country, G-d, life, and most of all, himself. It's not surprising that he was finished off by a series of coronaries; people like this tend to be profoundly angry, humorless, and passive-aggressive, and all that psychic bile has a nasty way of backing up into the body and messing with the circulatory system.

What's most inexcusable though, is how whoever wrote the obit is using his death to grind a political axe against Chimpy McBuSHITler's AmeriKKKa. No event is too tragic, sacred or private for many leftists to use it to push political resentments or agendae; to them, the *Cause of the Day* is the only truly transcendent or holy thing they can recognize.

The math is thus:

Conservatives hate because they hate.

Liberals hate because they love.
