Rock The Cashbar

At least once a week someone finds this blog by searching for "Rock The Cashbar". The zombie of Joe Strummer is not pleased.

And by creating a post titled "Rock the Cashbar" you push your blog higher in the search ranks.

You sly self-promoter. ;)

Most of my traffic comes from a link I have to a picture of Village People impersonators. I'm totally serious

This isn't really related to the topic but I just needed to say that 'Rock El Casbah' by Rachid Taha is even better than the original. *runs away*

I found your site through a "links" page on a freeware game site about old-school adventure games. Seriously, how strange is that?

There are a lot of pages like the one you found that are not real pages at all but sites that create themselves based on search engine entries. I have no idea what that's about but I see al lot of them.

Actually, it's a real site. The guy who make the freeware games was also a big punk rock fan back in the day. He lists your site on his link page right now, saying "I dig this cranky but insightful man who had his youth swiped when he was mugged by wisdom... Punks don't age gracefully and neither should you." If it wasn't for my love of clunky old computer games, I would have never discovered the wisdom of Emerson!

As I look around my studio apartment with the water-stained ceiling I think, yes, my wisdom has brought me many rewards - none I can see, but they're there all right as long as you drink lighter fluid and squint.
