I don;t know why you have such a bad attitude towards John Lydon.
Yes - the Ramones started punk rock but the Sex Pistols made it a legitimate enterprise by having a top ten single in Britain with "Anarchy In the U.K.". Personally I feel if not for the Ramones, who you fawm opnen PLUS the Sex Pistol punk rock would have never existed. So there!

You've got to be kidding. They made asses out of themselves and stuck a lot of bands with a stigma they didn't do anything to deserve. Maybe Johnny can make an even bigger ass out of himself by going on another reality television show.

I don't hate Lydon by any means but he's a manipulative liar and a self-promoter. When he's 90 he'll be wheeled out on stage to say "Bollocks!" and as he's taken away he'll yell "where's my check?"
The Sex Pistols were a great band and they did a lot of good. They also gave punk a black eye that kept it sidelined for a while.

All I'm sayin is that there's a reason why people adopt the sneer and the obnoxious British accent when they're making fun of what they perceive to be "punk rock."
